TRAIN JOURNEY

It was a nice day. I was traveling from home to my institute IIT Roorkee along with my cousin. We took the ticket and started to chit chat. Train arrived in little while. We tried to board in general coach but it was so over crowded that it was practically impossible to board in. So naturally we both went to sleeper class. After a station or two ticket checker came in and asked for ticket.
As we had the general ticket and that was sleeper coach he asked us to change the coach or pay the fine. The fine was really huge which i could not afford or i didn't want to. I asked him that there is no other train on the day and it is practically impossible to get in the general coach as it was so overcrowded that one could not put even a single foot. He got real annoyed and said he will call the cops.
I asked him that he can do what he wishes to as it's not entirely our fault that we are traveling in that coach. As train was general coach was already overcrowded and railway people still keep on selling tickets. As there was no other train and general tickets are non refundable. So it makes the situation that the railway has taken the money for a promise of providing transportation. Now its not possible to board in general coach and you know if its not possible there then people will board in other coach for sure. Then what for you are asking the fine. id it for the false promise of providing transportation by railways? I was trying my best to convince him but he was unmoved. Is it our fault or railways. shouldn't they have some upper limit on tickets for general coach also. I mean how can you ask for money for something which you are not in position to fulfill. Thinking all this i was ready to go to court and jail. I was so involved in my thoughts and ticket checker took out his phone to call cops.
Then my cousin asked him that he have represented railways in games and he let us go on the very same ticket. Though it was all over but i was still thinking: was it purely my fault that i was traveling in a sleeper coach with a general ticket.....
